11 Months

My little 11 month old! How is this possible? We've just been having so much fun it makes time pass too quickly my love.

This last month you've gotten 4 more teeth and have stood unassisted a few times.

Books are still your favorite. Early weekend mornings we will read and enjoy the quiet before the day gets started.

You have been one busy baby and it's not even close to over...your next month before your birthday is going to be filled with more fun. I hope you are ready for it all!!

I love you,
Momma

46 Weeks

Dear Harrison,

We've had another eventful week!!  We started off last weekend with a night at the zoo.  The zoo shows "Zoovies" a few nights of the summer for members.  We played with friends and rode the carousal before the movie started and we left just as it got dark enough for the movie to start.  You were asleep by the time we were to the interstate.  It will be fun when you can stay and watch but it was fun to be out with friends.

Then on Saturday we played a bit in the pool and went to a birthday party for our friend Erik.  It was at a local place that serves up tasty burgers and homemade custard.  The best part is it is by a train track.  I am pretty sure I witnessed my favorite "Harrison moment" that night.  You were in awe of the train.

Afterwards you got to visit the cows for a little hello.

We were off bright and early on Sunday to head to the lake...it was a LONG and frustrating day.  We were on the side of the interstate for hours but we finally made it on the water to enjoy some sunshine and friends.

This week we also enjoyed watching our grass being mowed, made some blueberry jelly, and climbed stairs.

Yesterday was the Fourth of July...America's birthday!  It was a rainy day so no pool party as per our normal celebrations but we ended up with our favorite family by the time the day was done.  I'm pretty sure they have adopted us.  You got to play with 2 littles who were born last August like you.  Cadence - Aug 2, you Aug 10 and Hudson Aug 29.  It is wild to see the differences in your development and size.  Cadence, the oldest, is rocking her walking skills.  Hudson is now scooting around and pulling up on furniture.  Soon you all will be everywhere!!!

Now the countdown to your Uncle Matthew's wedding is on...this week will be another busy one my love.

I love you,
Momma

45 Weeks

Dear Harrison,

Summer is here and we are in full swing of soaking it up!!!

You love Papa Coach's cows!!  He had a difficult week but he is home and healing.  He's got to get better so you guys can ride his tractor before summer is over.

You still love your time to yourself...be it reading or just laying in the floor of your room. I think you love your room and I am so glad because it was created with so much love!

Averie gave you her water table and you have been loving it this week!!  It's been a fun thing for you to do while I water the garden.

Your eating is still expanding because your days of having just two teeth are over.  You've had real big boy lunches all week.  You've had several things from our garden which makes me so happy to provide for you.  I shelled peas the other night and it's something I always dreamed of doing ever since I was a little girl as I helped my great-grandmother shell peas, shuck corn, make jelly and pickled okra.

One thing I have been making for years is pickles.  Our cucumbers are coming in like crazy so I made time to make some spicy dill pickles.  You played with a slice of cucumber the entire time.  I cannot wait to make more things as the season continues with you as my little helper.

You've also had your first Mexican meal - a quarter of a beef burrito with no sauce.  You've been to a Mexican restaurant more than I can count so finally you are able to enjoy some of the blander food they make.

We've got a fun and busy weekend ahead! Fingers crossed the rain doesn't spoil it...we are off now to the zoo.

I love you,
Momma

44 Weeks

My dear little love,

Wow-wee a full and fun weekend we just had!  Our first boat trip was the most fun I've EVER had on a boat.  Our new little boat is great!  We started the day without you so you Dad could have some real fun with the boat and see what she could do!  It was great fun and we were going so fast the speed wouldn't register.  The water was like glass and perfect...

After you arrived the water sports began.  You loved watching us all wakeboard, knee board and ski.  Your Dad has the pulling of us down.  Houston showed us all out but your Grand knee boarded and skied and I did all three.  I definitely need practice so that just means we need more days on the lake.  We can't wait to get you out there one day!

You got in the lake for the first time too.  You are our little lake baby for sure!!

That night we stayed at the cabin.  We forgot the pack n play so you slept with us in the bed.  It was perfect being just the three of us!!  The next day was Father's Day and we made your Dad Star Wars pancakes...he was supposed to have more than one but only Darth Vader turned out correctly.  That's his favorite anyhow so it worked out.  Then we decided to take the boat out alone.  Definitely an awesome end to our weekend.

I cannot wait for more lake days with you!!

This week you also enjoyed hanging by the pool.  There is nothing better than watching my bests love and play with you.

You have tried some new foods this week and had meat for the first time. You can check chicken and salmon off the list. As well as fresh cucumbers from our garden made "Ruby-style"

Today you and Hannah played in the pool while I worked.  I think it was a nice break from the norm for you both.

Well my love, I better get ready...your Dad and I have a date tonight!

I love you,

Momma

43 Weeks

Dear Harrison,

We've had a perfect week.  After a strong storm the week turned out to be beautiful and we took advantage by hanging in the pool.  You liked it immediately this time and are so interested in the cows and love to mimic "moo"

We have played with our kitties - 2 of which have found homes!!

Your appetite has been strange this week and we have cut out lots of food because you were not finishing your entire bottle.  So you snack some in between.  You had your first whole strawberry.  Pretty sure you liked them even though some of the bites were sour.

We have also been gearing up for our first day out on the boat!!  We are so excited to start these adventures with you...one dream coming true for your Dad and I.  You will discover we are big dreamers and your Dad is one who wants to make all of my dreams come true and he will do the same for you (within reason...you will not get a brand new car when you turn 16!)

Part of our boating adventures is to take time to celebrate your Dad as Sunday is his first Father's Day.  He will tell you it's not as important as Mother's Day but to me it is.  If it was not for us both you would not be on this Earth and be our son.  Your Dad is one hardworking man.  He just finished his Bio-Chemistry degree and a bright future for him is on the horizon - I just know it!!  He loves you to the moon and back.  You are very lucky to call him Dad as I am lucky to be his wife.  The 3 of us are soul mates!!

Thank you for making every week a new adventure.

I love you,
Momma

10 Months

Hi my love,

We've just had one exciting week.  Who would have thought after all of the lake fun....

I'm so glad you liked the boat because we bought one baby!  It's old and small but perfect for the 3 of us.  We have big dreams for our little family and this includes spending lots of time on the water.  We can't wait to take it out soon!

You helped me celebrate my birthday.  We shopped ALL day on Friday.  We took out Grand's new car and hit up 2 different malls.  We also met your Dad for lunch and then we went and surprised him at his work for dessert. It was a great day doing things I love with people I love. You also got your first pair of shoes too :o)

On Saturday your Dad and I went to witness two of our best friends get married.  You stayed home for your Dad and I to have some time together.  Then on Sunday we had planned to celebrate my birthday with our friends at Grand's pool.  At first it rained and we called it off but late afternoon the sun came out and we were able to swim and we all went to dinner.  You had your very first swim!!!  This makes me one happy Momma.

My cup runneth over...

I love you,
Momma
