Week 16: Avocado

This week I started playing around with registering and asking other mom's advice on products as the feedback on the internet gets overwhelming.  I never knew so many people would rate and leave comments on a thermometer.  Anyways, I started online and then Sat night went on into Target to add some in-store items.  I used the gun!  I like guns.

If only I could use just Pinterest as a registry...

We have the dresser officially in our home and I think it compliments the baby room nicely.  Now on to the more fun things like making the dust ruffle for the crib, finding wall decor and other knick knacks.  Pics of the room will be posted once it is complete :)

Around week 16 it is common for some women to start feeling little flutters which is the baby moving.  We were listening to my playlist at work on Monday (She's Electric by Oasis) and I am certain a flutter happened.  Can't wait to see what other music gets a reaction.  Besides my favorite tunes, I've made a playlist of scores that the hubby and I love and hope one day so does our little one.

Also this week I had to get a new bra.  The "Bra Whisperer" at Belk sized me up with a look.  I didn't believe her assessment but the bra fits and I feel more comfortable.  She did advise my next bra purchase be more matronly...

On another note, Baby C likes to either lay towards my back and the "Bump" is barely there or Baby C is front and center and the "Bump" on display...today as you can see the "Bump" is there.  I could also be I had a smoothie right before these pics.

Week 15: Apple

It snowed today!  For a short while :)

The crib came in this week and hubby put it together.  I was there for moral support.

We also bought a dresser.  Correction-the husband bought a dresser.  I was sick over spending the money on it but the sensible person he is went back and bought it.  We at least got it for $105 off their asking price.  And I can't wait to pick it up and add it to Baby C's room.

Other than that, a pretty uneventful week.  I did try Zumba for the first time.  It was tons of fun and can't wait to go back.

Week 14: Lemon

My first craving has begun - smoothies.

I was so close on Thursday to giving the guy at Smoothie King a piece of my mind for not being open but they don't open til 7am, which is when I get to work, so gotta give him a break.  I thought about changing my hours to 730am but opted for buying ingredients to make my own smoothies.  The test run this morning was pretty tasty.

On Friday, I had my 14 week appointment with Dr. E.  It was very informative visit.  She listened to the heartbeat and Baby C had the hiccups.  We chatted about childbirth and pediatricians.  We are all good to go with the fabulous Brooke Kelly being in the room.  My doc has no problem being photographed - yay!  

Gonna follow the doc's orders and just keep smiling.  

Today I got to test out my visualization skills in preparation for birth for this shoot.  I was on a beach not in 28 degree weather :)

Cute story.  Yesterday we went to Cracker Barrel with my mom for breakfast and on the way home mom asked what we were doing for the evening.  The hubby said, "Hanging out with my two favorite people on the planet.  My wife and my baby."  

I am so in love.

And the bump has arrived.  I can't suck in anymore.

Week 13: Peach

Happy Superbowl Sunday!!

This week there isn't too many exciting happenings to report.  I've been battling a sinus infection since Tuesday and it has about got the best of me.  I haven't had much of an appetite because I cannot taste but today I am feeling a bit better.  I actually got a decent night's sleep last night.

On Saturday, my wonderful husband and mom started painting the nursery. I'm VERY happy with how the colors look.  The crib was ordered this week and shipped!  Soon the room will start coming together.  I just have to find a antique dresser that I like.  Luckily we have 6 months :)

Another topic of the week has been the sex of our baby.  We are not finding out the sex and currently most everyone is thinking girl which apparently means I'm "ugly" - well this funk has made my nose raw and I have some breakouts going on...

I don't have any feelings on the sex yet.  I've had some negative feelings over which one I think I can handle - haha.  No matter what this little life growing inside of me is going to be just what we need to add to our family.
