Happy Easter

Hi my heart,

Today the Easter Bunny came for a visit.  He brought you some goodies in the same Easter basket he used to bring my goodies in...

After we played for a bit and showered we ventured to your Great-Grandparents church for their Easter service.  It was your first church service and you did wonderfully.  You cried out once after you bummed your head on my chin while jumping in my lap.  Once the newness left you relaxed by laying across my lap and eventually dozed off.  It was so sweet holding your during the Benediction and thinking how good God is and looking down at just what a gift you are.  I am so blessed to be your Momma.

Happy Easter Harrison.

I love you,
Momma

32 Weeks

Hi baby boy...

It's been a quiet week with cold, rain, and one nice afternoon for a walk.

You did take your first ride in the grocery cart :o)

I love being your Momma.

31 Weeks

Dear Harrison,

It is officially Spring...and it's been cold ever since.  But we did get to enjoy some sun over the weekend.  We spent a long time outside and you were very interested in my camera.  You are interested in everything my little one.

You are mobile.  I thought you were before but watch out now!  You are rolling and scootin everywhere.  And you think I am a jungle gym.  It’s pretty hilarious.  You are lounging toward toys and doing belly flops from sitting.  We better get prepared for strange looks in public from the bumps and bruises on the horizon.

You have had pears and apricots this week and next I will be mixing together fruits and veggies you have been introduced to so far.  You are not ready for everything and still your formula is most important.  You have gained a pound in 4 weeks.  You had your second flu shot this week so I got to weigh you.  You are right under 19 pounds.  You are a good workout for Momma :o)

You capture my heart over and over every day.

I love you,
Momma

30 Weeks

Hello my little one,

This week was your Dad's Spring Break from school.  We enjoyed our extra dose of Dad...

We didn't do anything  spectacular or outrageous but be home just the three of us.  I worked half of the week and he worked on home improvement projects.  We took advantage of being together and it was great to be just us.

We didn't have the weather we had hoped for so we only took a few walks but we hope the weather cooperates over next week so our afternoon walks can begin again.  (Aunt Jess you need to bring Reme to walk with us!)

You are still trying more new foods.  This week you had bananas and prunes.  You are still loving them all.  I pray you are a great eater like I was as a child.  I might be a tad picker now but that's only from years of eating and knowing what I like and how I like things prepared.  Just ask your Dad one day how I like my eggs.

Tomorrow we celebrate your Aunt Brooke's birthday and happily wait for Spring to arrive.

I love you always always.

Momma

7 Months

Hello sweet boy!

This week started off very cold.

We woke up to some snow 2 mornings.  It was just a little dusting but it was enough for me to get some snow for you to touch.  You were not too fond of the cold.  Your Momma doesn't like the cold either and we are lucky we do not have to get out everyday.  We can stay inside and stay warm!

Since last week you have finished up the veggies I planned to introduce and now you are eating fruit.  So far you have had apples, peaches and mango and to no surprise you love them.  Fruit will be refreshing when the weather is warmer.

And we have had a few warm days and we took advantage and took you to the zoo!!  It was a sensory overload for you but I think you enjoyed it.  At an exhibit if an animal was sleeping or not moving you liked looking at the water.  We bought a year pass so we will so back soon.

Also not just the 1 but 2 teeth starting to bud.  Your toothless grin will soon be a thing of the past and I will love it just as love every little thing about you.

Thank you for being the best thing about my week, my year, my life...

I love you,
Momma

28 Weeks

Hi my little man.

Currently I am hoping for more sunny days with you…

I am ready for Spring and warmer days we can enjoy together.  Until then we can find ways to enjoy the inside.  We've been doing pretty great at that so far...

That's your furry friend Duke...he is not your greatest fan but he tolerates you.  He doesn't lick, bark, bite, or really care that you are beside him.  That makes him a swell dog.  He lays were he is told, unlike his sister.

I’ve been introducing more foods to your diet.  This week you have had carrots, peas and butternut squash.  You are switching to fruit next and then will start mixing and matching for a little bit before introducing some other foods.  You love all of it so far and I love preparing it all for you.  Your Dad has said since we brought you home how lucky you are that your Momma can cook.  It is one thing I take pride and enjoyment in.  And your Dad knows his way around the kitchen too so you are extra lucky.

You love to play and this week you discovered your shadow.  And since we are in dream of the future mode around her I am currently researching things for you – I know many moms that keep a wish list for their child so great-grandparents, grandparents, aunts, friends, etc. can know things that they want their child to have so I have started the same.  If asked tomorrow what you need I would answer formula and diapers because that is what you need.  But a book or toy that you do not already have is nice as well.

It's going to be a cold weekend so we will be cozy and warm...loving you more and more every second!

Always yours,
Momma
